Title: Hannibals New troops

I see that the late Carthaginian army of Hannibal will be getting some blade (f) and blade (i) in the new army list!
i hope  we can still have some wb (at least 12+ elements please .) as well as my elephants .

Look forward in using them in one mass block blade(f) wb(f) and me el(i) all stream rolling along .. at 200 paces ...bring them romans on  .. nice to see us having even more  punching power :)

does anyone know when book 2 is out ?

Hannibals Gauls are likely to be Wb(O) and later Bd(I)

As to when Book 2 is out - some months yet (up to list 50 is still being haggled over rest is still to come - including the eagerly anticipated list 69 heavyweight contest (deck chairs and 6 packs of beer for that one ;-)

You can follow the Cathaginian lists progress - including the current Libyan - Sp(O)/Bd(I) Vets Sp(S)/Bd(O) debate over on the Yahoo forum   

Will the Ligurians all be (S)

Regular baggage for Hannibal  ?

Believe updated draft is due end of this week (2nd May) which will begin to answer some of these questions.

latest draft list just gone up

Ligurians have changed to Ax(S) up to 12  :)

changes in some dates now exclude the Celtiberians (bd(F) from being with Hannibal in Italy and Africa

No regular baggage  :(

Gauls are Wb(O) or later Reg Bd(F)  :o


and an expendable (the stampeding cattle) for Hannibal in Italy ;D

No ground given on the Sp/Bd debate

Got some lists to work out  ;D

well its good news all round then my warbands not only turns into reg bld (f) but can be wb(O) as in the old list they be Wb (F) ..

which was always a disavantage in the second round of combat! (my lads charging in in the 1st round of combat !)

would of been nice if the Spanish scutati became Bd(f)  but we cant have it all are own way must let them romans have a fighting chance in the game..
so i could now have 20 elements of Bd (i) OR Wb (O) instead of my old Wb(F)..

Oooowww  that means i could have a nice block of Wb(O) Sp(O/S) and bd(i)walking up the battle field hand in hand 8o)..it just gets better for mee

god my club roman players will get to hate me soon... 8o)

I would keep your eye on what is happening over on the Forum

Its moving back to Irr Wb(O) then later Reg Bd(I) for the Gauls

I have tried for the Spanish as Bd(F) but failed possibly (but I had no historcial backup) :D

I would not base/rebase any troops just yet

The Libyan spearmen look to be settling on Sp(O)/Sp(S)

All good stuff - anyone tried out any OOBs yet - I did one yesterday (Hannibal in Italy) but had missed the Spanish were not Bd(F)

Whats OOB,S ?

me wife got BOOBS .. does that count as i tried them out last night on mee nest. 8O)..

did pop down to yahoo and it looks like my Wb (F) will be up graded to Wb(O) and they can get supper charged to reg Bd(i) when in rome with H..
Bring them romans on chop chop!!!!

OOBs = Orders of Battle.

Not nearly as interesting as...
