Lost elements
« on: October 06, 2007, 07:27:36 PM »
Hi again,

I think this is correct, but I would appreciate a confirmation. 1) A command with spent elements only (no lost elements yet) count them all as lost when its general is spent too. 2) An allied command that changed sides during the battle counts as lost for its original army until broken. Once broken it counts as lost for its opponent.

Thank you

Yes - that would be my reading.

A generals element can never count as spent - it is always lost.
Other elements that are spent are not lost until the command breaks or more than half the command is spent or lost.

Ok. I see.

If question B is correct, then a weird situation occurs. If my allied changed sides, I break them and no other enemy command is broken, all those elements count towards the total enemy army ME, but this total ME has been increased with this new command. Must this total ME be recalculated during the battle?

Thank you.

Its normally just a case of adding two numbers and halving them.

Original army ME + new command ME (provided by opponent from his roster) / 2 = new army break point.

Sure but even such an easy mathematical operation is too much for my tiny brain!!  :D

Thank you again
