To start with, some requests that affect muliple lists:
(1) It would be nice, where possible (and time permitting), to explain what historical troop types a general's element is meant to represent. This could be done in the notes.
e.g.: Early Imperial Roman.
Cv(O) = Equites Singularies or Legionary Cavalry or ordinary Equites Cohortales
Bd(O) = Praetorians or Legionaries --- [You might think this is blindly obvious, but not always so for the more exotic armies]
Ax(S) = Governor's Lanciarii --- [The notes already say this].
Two reasons for this request:
> Firstly, some of the more colourful (but tactically identical) subtypes from the old WRG 6th Edition have vanished. e.g. Scotts-Irish "Hostage Kings Sons".
> Secondly, it helps when using source data to create scenarios.
(2) Second request: Again, time permitting it would help where possible and where known to distinguish where terms describe ethnic origins and where they describe "troop types". e.g. In the Early German I happen to know that Tencteri Horse are a tribe rather than a social class, but I finder it harder for less well known armies.
I grant that there are difficulties where what started as an ethic group became or where synomymous with a troop type. One suspects Equites Mauri and Equites Illyricani became like this.
