Later Hoplite Greek list
« on: February 19, 2008, 04:31:20 PM »
Hi

Just querying part of the Later Hoplite Greek list, where it states from 430BC you can replace Hoplites with Mercenary Peltasts. Can these Peltasts be used as part of the minimum requirement for Hoplites or do you still need to field at least 36 elements of Hoplites??

Many Thanks
Matt

Is this the existing DBM list or the new DBMM list in discussion on the DBMM group?

If the latter, then I believe the Reg Ps(S) peltasts can replace compulsory hoplites.

Hi Toby and Matt
I mailed Matt the Jan 15th version as we were having some DBMM200/100 game to introduce him to DBMM.
Matt I'll email you the latest Jan 29th version not sure if LHG has been change since the 15th.

Hi Matt
Having read the latest version I would say yes the replaced hoplites can come from the minimum 36 requirement.
The notes do say anything to say they can't.
