I have a suspicion that there is an error in List 32 in the section "Only from700 BC:"
There is a list entry that i already part of the errata, the corrected version is:
Archers - Irr Ps (O) @ 2AP [can support Bd(F)] or Irr Bw (I) @ 3AP 8 - 24
These are the only Psiloi available in the list. In the text below it states that Ps(O) can support Pk(F). For this tactic mentioned in the text I recall at least two battle accounts that would motivate this rule. But I do not know any occasion were skirmishing arches are reported to support "picked troops". I am aware that the definition of these "picked troops" is a bit vague because no historical account states precisely what these troops were. But I always assumed that most separations of standard infantry that were to conduct a specially timed attack apart from the main body would qualify.
If that interpretation is correct, I think the line on the archers actually should read
Archers - Irr Ps (O) @ 2AP [can support Pk(F)] or Irr Bw (I) @ 3AP 8 - 24
Does anyone know of a battle that motivates the Ps(O) to support Bd(F) and Pk(F)?
