DBMM 1.1 Baggage & Bge (S) elements.
« on: September 24, 2009, 06:14:42 PM »
Hello Campers,(sorry about the pun),I was considering using a Bge (S) divine icon element with my Classical Indian army in addition to 4 elements of Bge (O) behind TF`s.My question is this,If i use the Bge (S) element as Command Baggage in my C-in-C`s command, can I then deploy my Bge(O) camp in the C-in-C`s command or does it have to be deployed in either of the Sub-Generals commands? In DBMM 1.0 it would have to deploy in the Sub`s commands, but in 1.1 it says, Army Baggage which must be part of one general?s command. It doesn`t say you can`t have both, but obviously not combining the ME bonus for both types of baggage in a single command.Any thoughts? Many thanks,Paul ???

You can't have Bg(S) additional to the "normal" baggage unless it is the general's own element - seems still & hopefully it will change.....

Whether Bg(S) generals are command or army baggage does not seem to be addressed....in fact the whole bagage system in 1.1 is screw-ball IMO - I'd ignore it until he comes out with something sensible  :-\

I just cannot understand the new baggage rules at all to be honest.
I think a partial solution to the perceived problems with mobile baggage would be to allow a baggage command that does not need a general, but has to baggage (O) only and behind TF if the list allows, this is then army baggage. All other baggage has to be mobile, i.e. (I) or (F) and attached to each generals command and is command baggage.

Just a note. Does dedicating time and messages to a still provisional rules change worth your time?  ;D ;D

I thought this was (thankfully) cleared up in the latest version:

"Each general has 0-2 elements (in addition to his own if he is Bge (S))"

There is still Bg(S) which is NOT a general's element - such as standard wagons in some European armies - so that still fits into het 0-2 bit, which is silly :(
