Delay Battle and night attacks

The rules about Delay Battle say the stratagem can only be used if the battle starts after sunrise (my emphasis).

The rules about battles potentially starting before sunrise say that if a night attack is not chosen the battle starts at sunrise.

I assume, then, that if the battle could potentially start before sunrise you have no chance to use the Delay Battle stratagem.

Is this how others read that rule interaction?

Interesting. Certainly I agree, or at least I find no rules openly invalidating that view.
