Deployment on 4'x6' Table
« on: October 09, 2007, 11:18:59 PM »
p.3 states on a 4x6 table for 25mm: paces in Generating Terrain reduced to 2/3 & distances in Initial Deployment halved.

When I tried this, being the beginner I am, this meant that the defender set up first at 120p from centre and the attacker set up 200p from centre.

This seemed extremely close...attacker (Romans) moved 160p...the Spanish Ax and Bd(F) were now in range not having even moved.

Is this how I should be interpreting?  Or was what was meant that they would be further apart, closer to table edges?

No - distances are from the table centre line.

25mm DBMM (like DBM) favours heavy infantry armies over 15mm because they can stretch across the board and deploy so much closer to each other.

There is of course no requirement for you to deploy at the front of your deployment zone...
