No brilliant or inert ancient Indian generals

There were various great Indian generals in the book 2 period, e.g. Samudragupta.
I hoped the list containing brilliant and inert generals would be completed when the new book 2 comes out, but not. I should be very interested in any comment of the rule book team.

hi - seems no one has noticed your message!!

Firstly - there is't really a "rule book team" - all the discussion about what would go into Bk 2 was on hte Yahoo Group and Phil accepted/argued/threw out what he saw fit to.

Secondly - as I understand it being a great conquerer does not make a brilliant general for DBMM.  Rather it is a measure of the ability to produce rapid "flashes of brilliance".  I dont' know anythign about Samudragupta othe than he seems to have conquered most of India - but to have him as brilliant you'd have to show that he produced some of the spectacular manouvres that have allowed other people to be classed this way.
