Entries:

Entries by email to Stephen Hopkins (trishnsteve@idx.com.au) by 31 May 2007.  I can be contacted by phone on 0409 403 441 for alternate / further entry details.  I will update entries on the oz_dbm Yahoo! group.  Payment options will be advised on receipt of entry.

Please note that you may enter either the DBM or the DBMM competition and that a minimum of 12 entries by 31 May 2007 is required for that competition to run.  I will advise entrants if the competition will not run and you may then opt to play in the other competition if you wish.

DBM Lists:

Lists are to be no more than 400pts, drawn from DBM Books 1 to 4, second edition with official errata.  Lists are to identify the options used include exact date, race / nationality, C-in-C etc and include points calculations and a clear organisation and levels of breaks etc.

Your list is to be sent to Stephen Hopkins (trishnsteve@idx.com.au) as plain text or an attached Word or Excel document by 31 May 2007.  Medieval German lists are not accepted after 31 May 2007.

DBMM Lists:

Lists are to be no more than 400pts, drawn from DBM Books 1 to 4, second edition with official changes as contained in the DBMM rules.  No draft lists are allowed.  Lists are to identify the options used include exact date, race / nationality, C-in-C etc and include points calculations and a clear organisation including levels of demoralisation, disheartenment etc.  You are also asked to include terrain options to ensure that these are updated from the DBM lists.

Your list is to be sent to Doug Melville (dougmelville@hotmail.com) as plain text or an attached Word or Excel document by 31 May 2007.  Medieval German lists are not accepted after 31 May 2007.

Rounds:

Games will be 3.5 hours + 0 to 15 mins and will commence at 9.00am and 1:30 pm each day.  When time is called no further movement is allowed and all shooting and combat for the current players bound will be resolved.  The game is then finished.

Draw:

Each round will be determined by the Swiss Chess System with the first round opponents being selected randomly.  Interstate players will not be drawn against players from the same state or allocated a bye (if necessary) for the first two rounds

Byes:

Should a bye be necessary the bye for the first round will be determined randomly and thereafter selected randomly from those eligible on the lowest score.  Interstate players will not be allocated a bye in the first two rounds.

Byes will be scored as 5 pts (DBM) or 13 pts (DBMM) for that round for the purposes of the draw and will be replaced by the average scored at the conclusion of the tournament.

Scoring:

Scoring is to be by the official method contained in the relevant rulebook.  This is 0 to 10 for DBM and 0 to 25 for DBMM.

Terrain:

Players are to provide their own terrain.

Umpires:

DBMM will be umpired by David Brown and Chris Burg who will officiate as playing umpires.
DBM will be umpired by Jason Williams as a playing umpire.

Prizes:

This year we offer two rule sets for the Ancient & Medieval Championship, DBM v3.1 and the new DBMM v1.0.  As a result should both competitions run (I need a minimum of 12 entrants for each) the NSW Ancient and Medieval Championship places (1st, 2nd & 3rd) will be calculated by percentage of points achieved over maximum possible.

Prizes will also be awarded for Best and Fairest, General Killer as well as round by round prizes to keep everyone on their toes!

Other prizes such as DBA armies etc will be offered as door prizes as entries allow.

Parking:

A Council car park is located in Linsley Street opposite the RSL.  Please note parking restrictions.  If you are early there is parking in the street toward the South West of the RSL.

enjoy! ;D
