Polybian Roman ally general

What is he required to have in his command? I assume Bd (O), and also some of all the compulsory troops pro-rated on the Bd, such as Roman Cv (O), Velites/Leves and Triarii?

What if you downgrade some of the Bd (O) to Italian Ax (O)? Could you take some of them in place of the Bd? If so, would it excuse you from having to take the Cv, Ps and Sp?

from the list book:
"Each such general’s command must, unless stated otherwise, include at least a quarter of the minimum number of each compulsory troop type. It can also include non-compulsory types. "

So, pretty much yes to all...

I thought so, but it's always good to have someone else confirm that I'm not heading up an army design blind alley. Cheers.

(Not that I have any immediate plans for a Polybian Roman army, but it's one of those armies - viable and from a time that even a lot of non-wargamers and non-historians know a bit about...)
