Posting Photo's to the forum
« on: February 25, 2007, 10:39:04 PM »
Hey all,
Some of you will be wondering how to post photos to the site. So, here's a little tutorial of how to
this.

You cannot upload an image directly from your computer to a post on the DBMM forum. You must use your own web space or a (hopefully free!) third party hosting site such as:

http://www.mypicgallery.com or
http://www.photobucket.com

So you would need to first upload your photo or picture ( .jpg  or .gif) to your web space or a third party hosting site, then work out its location address URL.  To do this you can
“right click mouse over your image on your space/site, click on Proprieties then highlight the URL address and right click mouse and choose copy, you can then paste this in to your message.”

To post an image, simply add a line similar to this to your post, specifying the location of your image.

eg.:
  [ img]http://yourimagehostingsite.com/coolpic.jpg[ /img]

Your address will need to be enclosed with commands to tell the forum program that it has to look for and display your image so it must start with and end with you can do this by highlighting your link and press the “insert image” button

Or if you put the "img" command in you self  make sure you remove the spaces between the [] in my examples (if I left them in you would not see them).
