The Timurid B Team

Some pics of my Muslim army posing as Timurids.

An account of how they got on in the Munster 2016 competition can be found here:

And the purple elephant in Timur's command.

Both elephants are Donnington originals with some of the crew Donnington, some from various other manufacturers. The colour scheme is lifted from some nice work done by Martin Stevenson here:

Next the unarmoured cavalry..

All these are from the Legio Heroica Fatamid range.

Turkomen nomads. The front rank in a wild charge, the second rank a little more laid back..

Hillmen (AxO) from Timur's reserve command.

These are Dailami from the Lurkio range. They are nice figures but only three poses.

More Hillmen (on the left). These are the Legio Heroica Sudanese - to differentiate them from the Hillmen in other commands.

The other figures are generic BdI/SpI that I use in other morphs of the army and are spearmen from the Mirliton Muslim range.

And lastly, because one can never have too many elephants...the massed Pachydermal division of the Ghaznavid army.

Ooops. Almost forgot the hostage screen.

These are civilians from the Lead Pile. The more eagle eyed amongst you will spot figures from Xyston, Essex, Irregular, Donnington, Oupost and Corvus Belli...

When I saw this:

I was struck by the similarity to my elephants:

Obviously they are the same models but the colours & patterns are very close.  See more.

Spooky!

Not entirely spooky, if you read the text under the purple elephant....
