Fighting at night
« on: May 01, 2008, 09:16:40 PM »
Hi all,

I've never fought at noght and I would like you to confirm what I've found about it.

1. You move as much as you see, no matter your "normal" speed.
2. No maneuvering limitations.
3. No pip dice allocation limitations.
4. You can fight until no enemy is visible.

Missing something?

Thank you.

About the only thing I think you've missed is that if dusk falls in a battle, flank marches and delayed commands won't arrive.

You might also like to check the DBMM Index I created, which includes entries relating to night.

Also note that troops with a movement rate less than the visibility range don't get to increase their move! (Obvious I'm sure, but I'd also bet there are people who'd try that one on.)

Has it really happen any time?  ??? Can't believe it!  :P

It's OK, on this occasion I suspect that Peter was just throwing in a joking comment on the excesses of some competition power-gamers.

In my experience, DBMM has to date been remarkably free of such behaviour.   ;D
