Observation about defending BUAs
« on: September 06, 2008, 11:35:52 AM »
Hi

Just an observation.
I was surprised, but it?s probably old hat.
Please correct me if I have overseen something:

A BUA is only difficult going in more than 40p inside (Page 19, third paragraph).

A Ps and an Ax are defending a BUA and are attacked by Kn.

Both defending elements front edges are 1mm inside the BUA, so their heels are in difficult.

The attacking Kn are within the BUA but still in good going.
With a factor of 4 and no disadvantages, they are pretty safe.

If the Ps is doubled by the Kn, it flees (page 39) because the Ps is in difficult.

If the Ps rolls less but is not doubled by the Kn, it recoils (page 39) because the Ps is in difficult.

If the Ax rolls less, it dies (page 39) because the Kn is in good going.

Looks fine to me - some times it's better to be the guy who expects to run away!! :)
