Gauls vs Sassanid Persians

This is not an exciting game report but I wanted to post a photo:

Unfortunately most of the photos came out quite blurry (note to self : take the real camera and stop using the cellphone camera!) and this is the only non-blurry photo I got from a game today.

The reason for wanting to post this is because the image shows my Gallic battle line at the top of picture, and behind the battle line is the left flank of the table!  I managed to redeploy my entire irregular army so that it was facing directly across the table.  At the very top right of the picture are Gallic Cavalry on my opponents rear edge - they flank marched and came on successfully in the 4th bound.  I had kinda hoped my opponent had taken an irregular army but he didn't, so he managed to redeploy, albeit hampered by some sacrificial pickets.

In the foreground of the photo are the Persians clearing away the pickets and redeploying.  I figured WbO and CvO had absolutely no show against CvS and ElO so I had to do something silly to avoid a full on frontal conflict!  We managed to get about 12 bounds in before time was called (saved by the bell!) although the Persians had made it into combat and were slowly chipping away at my lines.  Had the game gone on much further I don't think I would have got a draw.

This (blurry) shows the battlelines at about the end of the 10th bound.  The Persians are about to pounce at either end of the line.  The photo was taken looking back towards the Gallic rear edge and as you can see my opponent has now got his battle line in order, but it is too late!  So I guess my stalling tactics worked.  :-[  Again - apologies for the blurry photo!
