One question about terrain and another about deployment
« on: March 05, 2011, 09:59:41 PM »
Dear all,

I can't find the place in which is specified that water features cost 2 TE. Only "other linear features" cost 2 TE. I remember they were specified under 1.0. And now?

And my second question comes from a game I played. I put an unfortified BUA on the enemy deployment area (in contact with a previous Sea) in order to shorten the available space of my opponent. I deployed some archers there to harass any innocent flank exposed. Then, I was terrified when my opponent deployed a whole command within my BUA!!!  :o My oopnent said that troops must be deployed further than 240p from fortified BUA only. Additionally, there is no rule to ban deploying enemy commands intermingled. I know it can sound surrealistic, but I couldn't find any rule for this situation. What do you think?

Thank you

Hi,
Top of page 19,Water features, etc, are linear features.
First para page 21,each other linear feature 2 FE,as they aren't one of those listed as 0,1/2,or 1 FE .

I don't think you could deploy your troops that far forward in an unfortifed BUA,or even ambush?

Ooops. You're right!  :o Only fortified BUA can be garrisoned on the enemy deployment area.  :P  I think I won't tell my opponent.  ;D
