Fleeing as a result of the start of feign flight

Pg 41
An element fleeing as a result of: .............. The start of a Feigned Flight - all such elements turn (if necessary) and head in the same direction towards their command's nominated entry edge if they flank marched or rear battlefield edge if not.

A flee move. including any initial recoil is a full tactical move distance for the going in which it starts. It is measured between the nearest rear comers from before the recoil to after the flee move.

My questions is, as there is no initial recoil for the flee move in this case, is the resulting flee move: (a) still measure between the nearest rear corners from before the flee move to after the flee move,
or

(b)  turn first and then make just a tactical move?

For example,
If (a) is correct:
Mongol LH(S) in close combat against Sung Cv, Mongol LH(S) in feign flight, whose flee move is measured between the nearest rear comers from before the flee move to after the flee move. (i.e. 320p tactical move + 60p base depth of LHS = 380p), it is 380p away from the Sung Cv, but the Sung Cv has the option to pursue (either its base width or base depth) and if the Sung Cv pursue its base width, or 80p, it is now 380p - 80p = 300p away from the fleeing Mongol LH(S) at the end of the Mongol Bound. Then in next bound (i.e. Sung Bound), the Sung Cv spontaneous advance 240p against the Mongol LH(S) 300p away and therefore cannot contact the rear of the fleeing Mongol LH(S) and the Mongol LH(S) can turn back and face the Sung Cv who is now 60p away!

If (b) is correct:
Mongol LH(S) in close combat against Sung Cv, Mongol LH(S) in feign flight, who turn 180 degree, then move flee move of 320p, it is 320p away from the Sung Cv, but the Sung Cv has the option to pursue (either its base width or base depth) and if the Sung Cv pursue its base width, or 80p, it is now 320p - 80p away from the fleeing Mongol LH(S) at the end of the Mongol Bound. Then in next bound (i.e. Sung Bound), the Sung Cv spontaneous advance 240p against the Mongol LH(S) 240p away and caught the rear of the Mongol LH(S) before it can turn back!

Thanks in advance.

It's this one.
