Hi

I have just started the DBX family of games (played DBA online and I have DBA, DBM and DBMM in the mail), and I currently have approx 75 middle Anglo-Saxons and 100 viking 20mm plastic minis.  What would be the best way to base them?
1) on 40mm bases with cut-outs for 60mm and empty "wings"
or
2) 60 mm bases and lose out on 40mm opponents.

I ask this because I don't want to limit myself from challenging adversaries.

P.S.  Is there any difference in basing between these rules I should keep in mind? ( I heard there was a difference with Macedonian Cav. so just asking)
P.S.S. What is the most popular army size for tournaments, 15mm or 25mm?

Ok, last question first. 15mm is the most popular figure size for tournaments.

It is unlikely that there will be significant changes to basing for Vikings. BUT. Note that they can be graded as Blade Ordinary (O) or Inferior (I)  or as undisciplined raiders as Blade Fast (F) - so in 15 mm they could be based three or four to a base, and either 15 or 20mm depending on classification. 

Check what people in your local area play - 15mm or 25mm..  and base to that size. Where are you?

By the way, I live in northeastern Ontario.  Haven't found anybody yet, so I don't want to limit myself, but I will be making trips to southern Ontario one in a while, and I hope to get in a few games over there.
