Figure 14

This is my last question tonight! Promise!

Trying to comprehend posible out come moves if Blade x wins the contact.

Firstly I suppose why does the warband not have to slide to conform to the blades?

If this is not so, what pursuit move will Blade X make if he ( or sorry she for all those maiden guards ) wins but not doubles the warband in combat, Staight ahead I think is right or pivots towards the recoiling warband then advance?

If the warband have two more elements attached as part of a group (on right looking at the book ) and the Blade X is replaced by a file of Pike X G H and I and the Pike persues into the corner of C does the same figure 14 start all over again for the pike player as it was for the warband player?

Now it is getting late and I am making less and less sense so I will retire to my bed and rock myself to sleep in the sound knowledge that someone can comprehend my poorly worded questions.

sorry about this

See "Moving Into Close Combat" on page 33, specifically "Corner". If the Warband move straight ahead to contact the front corner of the Blade, then it's up to the Blade to decide whether they should pivot to face the Warband, or stay where they are.

This is covered by the DBMM Commentary, available here at the DBMM web-site. It's on page 37 of that document. The pursuing element pursues straight ahead as far as it can, then conforms using "Extra Movement to Line Up in Close Combat or a TZ".

I think so. See the Commentary.
