Ehem...I know it's a bit early to ask for this but...when could we have the last definitive new version of the army generator?  ;D :P

Just a comment. Reg Bge ME is wrong, and I don't know how can it be fixed. Any help?  :-\

Hi Arnim,

Thank you for your great application. Did you see my thread about a possible bug on Bge? When you try to add Command Bge, its ME is not added to the command. It works well with army baggage. Coul you please fix it?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

I will upload an update on the weekend. I finally have reproduced and fixed a bug that Neil reported.

But with yours I believe that my spreadsheet works correct:
If I add Command Baggage the Baggage is only entered in the command itself and not copied to the Train Command. And I see the Command and Army MEs correctly calculated. If you find a situation where is does not work please tell me how you got there. I will fix asap.

Maybe one hint: please select the troop type with the menu. Sometimes the Spellchecker corrects CBg into Cbg and this is not recognized.

Just to make sure: I only maintain the OpenOffice Spreadsheet not the file on megaupload

Please, let me insist. Is the author of the EXCEL application Army list generator reading this forum? Some problems should be fixed and I don't know how to do it.

Hi sorry for delay dont usually follow this site, had to create a new user id to reply.  I do maintain the DBMM2 ArmyList Calculator v1-1 on the DBMM Yahoo site only and an updated version 1.1 has been posted there.   Assume someone has uploaded a copy to mega uploads whoever they may be.

Interested in any feedback/details of bugs that I can use to improve the spreadsheet, so will keep a look out here for a while.

Hope people find it useful.

Regards
Rob

I have a question Rob,

What's the point of "train" column?  ??? I understand it corectly, we must put up to 2 Bg elements per command column, no matter it's Army/Comand Baggage. But if I put all my command Bge elements together into the "Train" column, a Train command is created! :o

This should be fixed.

Hi I'm quite capable of getting these rules wrong especially with so many double negatives and the baggage rules have got quite complicated, so here goes.

As I understand it Army baggage has to be held in a separate Command with a min of 4 elements, which doesnt have a PIP dice (see page 9).  As this command used to be called Train I retained the name for familiarity.  Again see page 14 other elements can be included in this command hence the need for a 5th column.

To input baggage you should the following:
Army Baggage needs to be entered in the first 2 Army Baggage rows against the contributing command A - D (most lists have options for baggage in camp or wagons/cart, hence 2 lines in case you want to specify/take both)  This will then tally the ME in both the contributing command and the train command which contribute to the army total. (see page 42).
Command baggage should only be entered in columns A - D according to which general it belongs to.  This tallies the ME only for that command (see page 42).

Best way to see how it works is to clear all the commands and just enter 1 baggage element against army baggage and then repeat but for command baggage.
Hope this helps

OOops, you're right!  :o :P I didn't recall that in 2.0 other elements can be included in the Train command. Sorry.

Command baggage should only be entered in columns A - D according to which general it belongs to.  This tallies the ME only for that command (see page 42).

This is how I did it. I didn't know why two rows were available, and I agree they can be useful. Now I finally got it. Thank you very much.  :)
