Flank contact
« on: September 19, 2010, 05:04:10 PM »
Hi

I would like to have posted a picture with this message but the upload does not seem to work any more.
Is there a problem with the page or with me?

Roman Cav A element faces east.
Roman Cav B element faces south and is contact with As flank.
Carthaginian Cav X element faces north and would like to contact with A in the other flank.
This is not possible because at the moment of contact X reaches the TZ of A.

I am sure this is right but it seems a little strange.

Could someone please confirm that I have not missed something?

Try to upload your image at Tynipic.com and put the link here. I can't see what you're trying to describe.  :-\

Depending on the exact geometry you may be able to contact under the 2nd bullet point in the TZ rules.

X could contact the flank if it also lines up with the front of B, or if it moves straight ahead directly towards B.

Both of these are allowed in the TZ restrictions.
