The figures are all Xyston, from the Macedonian and Thracian ranges

To handle elements without touching figures.

the bases are 3mm wooden ones from Litko.

I tried using the 0.5mm and 1.5mm (the AxS, El and KnF are based on these) , but they tend to warp- particularly the Cv bases. I've now switched over to the 3mm ones. I should probably paint the edges green to lessen the effect.

Have you tried plastic ones? Just score them and your basing material should hold. Also they don't tend to warp.  :)

I like the figures, great.
A bit late now,but chamfering the top edges of the base by 1 to 1.5 mm would alter the appearance.
They would look thinner when painted, but I'm not sure about the textureing or handleing.

Seriously, though, a gorgeous paint job. I also have a Xyston Macedonian army, but my boys aren't anywhere near as pretty.
